Profoundly, a Group 1 Australian Oaks placegetter, was the standout performer at the Inglis Digital August (Late) Online Sale, selling for $360,000 to Boomer Bloodstock as buyers moved decisively for quality breeding prospects.

The four-year-old mare was offered by trainer Michael Freedman on behalf of her owners and was secured by Boomer Bloodstock’s Craig Rounsefell for client Peter Murray. The purchase will add an accomplished young mare to Murray’s boutique broodmare operation at Three Bridges.

Rounsefell and Murray had identified Profoundly as a strong fit for their developing broodmare band, with her racing record and pedigree providing the foundations for a long-term breeding career.

A mating plan is already being considered, with a final decision on the stallion expected within the next week.

Profoundly was not the only mare to attract significant attention. Eyes Of Blue, a sister to Group 1 sprinter Bridal Waltz, became the second-highest priced lot of the session at $235,000.

The mare was offered by the Pope family and was secured by Reg Ryan, who already has a stallion connection in mind for her future breeding career.

The third-highest result was shared by racehorses Without Parallel and No Friends, each selling for $165,000.

No Friends provided a particularly strong return for Polaris Bloodstock, which had purchased the horse as a yearling at the Inglis Classic Sale for $25,000. After just two starts, the horse changed hands for $165,000, producing a notable rise in value.

The session produced six lots worth at least $100,000, with Fire Star selling for $140,000 and Avengers changing hands for $120,000.

The broader figures underlined the depth of demand throughout the session. The latest results took the number of six-figure lots sold through Inglis Digital since 2025 to 215.

The August (Late) Sale grossed $3,551,400 in total, reflecting continued activity across the online auction platform and strong interest in quality bloodstock.

Attention now turns to the next session, with entries open for the Inglis Digital September (Early) Sale, scheduled to run from September 4 to September 9. Entries will close at midnight on Wednesday, September 2.
