Race day at the Bangalore Turf Club continued to thrill spectators as the third event on the card—the International Labour Day Trophy—unfolded with youthful flair and fierce competition. Exclusively for maiden three-year-olds, this 1200-meter sprint attracted a promising field and carried an impressive total prize purse of Rs. 11,00,000, making it one of the day’s headline races.

Emerging victorious was the impeccably prepared ZIVA, trained by V. Lokanath and ridden with composure by seasoned jockey P. Trevor. The filly produced a sharp burst of speed in the final 200 meters to clinch the race in 1:16.51, securing her first career win in style. The victory not only brought her a prestigious trophy but also Rs. 5,50,000 in winner’s prize money, affirming the potential she holds for future contests.

Finishing second was DREAMER, handled capably by N. S. Parmar for trainer M. K. Jadhav, who delivered a solid debut performance. The colt came up just short of the leader, stopping the clock at 1:17.09, and is likely to improve with this run under his belt.

Taking the third spot was EAGLE EYE, guided by Vivek G and trained by Pradeep Annaiah. With a time of 1:17.28, Eagle Eye stayed in close contention throughout the race. Notably, this marked a double for jockey Vivek G, who had earlier steered All Attraction to victory in the Kunigal Stud Plate.

As the day progressed, the atmosphere at BTC remained electric, with punters and enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the next highlight—the prestigious B.T.C. Charitable Trust Trophy. With rising stars like ZIVA already making headlines, the Bangalore Summer Meeting promises plenty more action and emerging talent in the weeks ahead.
