Zalia sparkles in The Maid Of Athens Plate

The Maid Of Athens Plate was the second race of the day at the Royal Calcutta Turf Club, run for three-year-old horses rated 21–46. The Class 4 sprint was contested over 1200 metres and carried total prize money of Rs.10,00,000.

The winner’s title went to Zalia, ridden by R Vaibhav and trained by Aashay Doctor, who stopped the clock in 1:14.877 to deliver a well-judged victory. The filly is owned by Dr Ram H Shroff, Mr Raj H Shroff rep. Stride Livestock Pvt Ltd, and Mr Chetan Shah, who were rewarded with a polished performance.
