The tenth day of the Mysore (Monsoon) Races 2025 came alive on Thursday, 09 October, as the 4th race of the afternoon — The Chief Minister’s Cup (Class IV: Horses Rated 20 to 45) — unfolded over a mile. At 04:00 PM, it was Yukikaze, ridden by Antony Raj S. and trained by Rakesh, who delivered a perfectly judged run to score a fluent victory in 1:37.317, carrying the colours of Mrs Namrataa Rakesh.

Breaking alertly from the gates, Yukikaze settled nicely in midfield before making steady headway approaching the final bend. With the pace quickening into the home stretch, Antony Raj S. brought the gelding wide into clear running, urging him forward with a decisive burst. Showing a fine turn of foot and poise, Yukikaze surged ahead in the last 100 metres, holding off late challenges with authority to land a well-deserved win.

One Nation (J: Abhishek Mhatre, T: J Ganesh) ran a spirited race to finish second in 1:37.607, keeping the pressure on the winner until the final strides. Assurances (J: Aleemuddin, T: Rajesh Narredu) stayed on strongly to claim third in 1:38.016, rounding off a competitive finish that thrilled the Mysore crowd.

As the cheers for Yukikaze’s triumph echoed around the stands, anticipation turned toward the next contest — The Hotel R R R Trophy at 04:30 PM, expected to feature another thrilling showdown on an already action-packed race day.
