Xanthe announced her arrival in striking fashion, capturing The Own Opinion Plate Div I for maiden 3-year-olds over 1400 meters on Day 23 of the Bangalore Summer Meeting at Bangalore Turf Club. The race offered a winners’ purse of ₹11,00,000 and unfolded on ideal racing conditions, adding another feather in the cap for the in-form Attaollahi stable.
Ridden confidently by P. Trevor, the filly was produced with a well-timed run and surged clear in the final strides to clock 1:25.35, marking her first career win. The victory also sealed a one-two finish for trainer S.S. Attaollahi, further establishing his strong presence this season.
Xanthe Headlines a Stable Dominance
Owned by Mr. C. Aryama Sundaram, Xanthe showed composure and speed down the stretch to fend off her stablemate Skagen, who also impressed under jockey Vivek G., finishing second in 1:25.56, just over a length behind.
The third place went to Darrington, ridden by Arvind Kumar N. and trained by Irfan Ghatala, who kept up with the pace and registered a finishing time of 1:25.94 to round out a competitive top three.
