The second day of the Bangalore Winter Meeting on Sunday, 9 November 2025, brought thrilling mid-afternoon action as Race 3 – The Jog Falls Plate (Div I) unfolded over 1400 metres at the Bangalore Turf Club. The Class IV contest for horses rated 20 to 45 saw Xanthe (J: A. Sandesh, T: S.S. Attaollahi) deliver an impressive victory for owner Mr C. Aryama Sundaram, timing his run perfectly at 1:26.19 to secure a confident success in front of an appreciative weekend crowd.
Xanthe broke well and was settled mid-pack early on, allowing the front-runners to dictate a brisk pace in the initial stages. Coming into the home turn, Sandesh urged the filly to quicken, and the response was immediate — Xanthe surged forward with smooth acceleration to seize command inside the final furlong. The well-judged ride and decisive finishing burst sealed a commanding win that reflected both the horse’s promise and S.S. Attaollahi’s effective preparation.
Eagle Eye (J: L. Alex Rozario, T: Prasanna Kumar) fought bravely to finish second in 1:26.06, showing determination throughout the final stretch, while Glorious Strides (J: A.A. Vikrant, T: Satish Narredu) claimed third clocking at 1:26.36, staying on well under pressure to complete the top trio. The result showcased a competitive field where form and finishing strength played defining roles.
With the day’s excitement far from over, racing enthusiasts turned their attention to the next contest, The Udupi Plate, scheduled for 3:00 PM, promising yet another gripping chapter in the Bangalore Winter Meeting’s unfolding story.
