Racing at Woodbine Racetrack will follow a revised timetable from early June, with officials confirming a shift in post times for live Thoroughbred meetings across the weekend programme. The change, aimed at refining the flow of the summer schedule, will come into force on Friday, June 5.

Woodbine post time change

The adjustment means that on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the opening race will now be called at 1:00 p.m., brought forward from the previous 1:20 p.m. start. The 20-minute revision is expected to provide a more streamlined afternoon schedule for participants and racegoers alike at Woodbine Racetrack.

Officials have also confirmed further additions to the midweek calendar, with Thursday fixtures set to join the programme from June 11. Those meetings will feature a 3:00 p.m. first post, extending the track’s weekly offering and giving racing fans additional midweek action during the summer season.

The updated structure reflects Woodbine’s ongoing efforts to optimise race-day operations during a busy period of the year. With the summer season in full swing, the revised timings are expected to help maintain a consistent flow across the card while accommodating expanded scheduling.

For regular followers, the subtle shift may require a small adjustment, but the overall rhythm of the racing calendar remains familiar, with weekend cards continuing to anchor the track’s programme.

The updated Woodbine post time change marks one of the first notable scheduling refinements of the summer campaign, as the venue continues to balance tradition with operational efficiency.
