Wolverhampton Racecourse hosts a competitive nine-race all-weather card on Saturday, 20 December 2025, with action unfolding on the Tapeta surface from 4:05 PM to 8:15 PM. The evening programme blends fillies’ races, maidens, nurseries, and a series of handicaps across sprint and middle distances, promising a varied and testing contest for runners and punters alike.

The meeting will open at 4:05 PM with a Class 5 Fillies’ Handicap Stakes over six furlongs and 21 yards, offering £7,100 in prize money. Toomuchforme, Titian Blue, Court Drive, Ziggy’s Queen, Bear Rock, and Addarella will form the field for the opener.

At 4:40 PM, the card will move into higher grade territory with a Class 2 EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes over one mile, one furlong, and 105 yards, carrying prize money of £25,000. Carnival Queen, Elenaya, Five Moons, Koala Rose, Kokoluna, and Morningtoncrescent will contest a race expected to highlight emerging talent among the fillies.

The 5:15 PM contest will be a Class 6 Nursery Handicap Stakes over one mile, one furlong, and 104 yards, with £6,000 available. Snaafy, Ar Diddy Dum Dum, Zipwire, Onyeisi, Tinsel, and Fans Favourite will line up in a competitive field.

Sprint action will return at 5:45 PM with the Class 2 Handicap Stakes over five furlongs and 21 yards. Worth £25,200, the race will include Spartan Arrow, Equality, Rhythm N Hooves, Alligator Alley, Baldomero, and Blinky.

Staying handicaps will follow at 6:15 PM and 6:45 PM, both run over one mile, four furlongs, and 51 yards. Division I will feature Cannon Rock, Yokohama, Civil Law, Meet Me In Meraki, Skycutter, and Must Believe, while Division II will bring together Appier, I’d Go Maniac, Charlie’s Choice, Lightning Touch, So Alex, and Enthused. Each division will carry prize money of £7,100.

The 7:15 PM Class 4 Handicap Stakes over seven furlongs and 36 yards will be worth £9,500 and will include Qazaq, Trouble Man, Thurso, Stellenbosch, Follow Your Heart, and Sergeant Pep.

At 7:45 PM, a Class 6 Midnite Handicap Stakes over the same distance will feature Dandy Khan, Bomb Squad, Hallowed Time, Act of Violence, Harbour Vision, and Court of Session, with £6,000 on offer.

The fixture will conclude at 8:15 PM with a Class 6 Handicap over one mile, one furlong, and 104 yards. Seraphic, Maywedance, Pride of Nepal, Saturnalia, Magic Runner, and Mr Nugget will contest the closing race of the evening.
