The afternoon will commence with the Novices’ Limited Handicap Steeple Chase (Class 3) at 1:47pm over 2m 4f. Open to horses aged five years and older, the race will carry prize money of £12,800 and feature a compact field comprising Sony Bill, Pony Soprano and Tamarind Bay. Although small in numbers, the contest will provide an intriguing opening to the meeting as the trio will bid to make a successful start over fences.

Worth £75,000 and contested over 3m 10y, the prestigious staying chase will draw a field of 14 runners, including Hang In There, Riskintheground, Twig, Alien Storm, Ki Woo, Peaky Boy and Hold Your Fort. As one of the leading summer handicap chases in the National Hunt calendar, the race will provide the highlight of the afternoon and is expected to produce a competitive finish.
The programme will continue at 4:03pm with the Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) over 2m 7f 70y, carrying prize money of £20,000.
