The second event of the Pune Meeting Special Race Day, hosted at Pune Racecourse under the management of the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC), delivered another competitive finish on Friday, July 25, 2025. The S. K. Sunderji Salver, a 1400-meter handicap for Indian horses rated 40 to 66, offered a prize pool of ₹6,50,000 and brought together a quality field on a yielding track.

Emerging victorious was Ultimo, trained by P. S. Chouhan and ridden to precision by R. Ajinkya, who timed his run perfectly to win in 1:25.966. Representing owners M/s Rajesh Monga & Manav Monga, Ultimo handled the underfoot conditions confidently and pulled away from the challengers in the final meters.

In second place was Golden Glow, partnered by Yash Narredu for trainer Imtiaz A. Sait, clocking 1:26.557 in a credible effort that saw his rally from mid-pack.

The third spot went to Lord and Master, trained by Shazaan Shah and ridden by C. Umesh, who kept on steadily to stop the clock at 1:27.420.

With two races completed, excitement continues to build at Pune Racecourse, with the headline event of the day, the JSK1 Gaming Trophy yet to unfold.
