The second race of the Bangalore Winter Meeting, held on Sunday, 09 November 2025, saw True Gold (4y ch g) deliver a commanding performance to win The World Cancer Awareness Day Plate in 1:15.07, a Class V contest for horses rated 00 to 25 run over 1200 metres. Ridden with poise by jockey Vishwa V and expertly prepared by trainer M. Rajendra Singh, the gelding owned by Mr Mahmood Khan struck form in style, showcasing both speed and determination in the 2:00 PM feature.

Breaking smartly from the gates, True Gold settled in a handy position through the early strides before making his move approaching the final 300 metres. Displaying a decisive turn of foot, he surged clear of his rivals in the closing stages, maintaining a strong gallop to the finish. The effort reflected both tactical control and a touch of class from the Rajendra Singh-trained runner, marking a deserved success for the connections.

Estefania (J: Aleemuddin, T: Arjun Mangalorkar) produced a spirited run to claim second in 1:15.11, keeping the winner honest till the wire, while N R I Gold (J: Pavan, T: Md Sajid Qu’shi) stayed on gamely to take third honours clocking at 1:15.76. The trio ensured an engaging contest that set an upbeat tone for the afternoon’s proceedings.
