The Hippodrome de Toulouse, one of southern France’s most picturesque tracks, is all set for an eight-race card on 17 September, beginning at 4:32 PM and wrapping up under the evening sky at 8:31 PM. With six flat races and two obstacle contests, the meeting promises variety, drama, and plenty of late-evening excitement. Toulouse’s mix of flat speedsters and jumping specialists makes this a card where every race feels different, offering something for every racing fan.

Race 1: PRIX YOUNG TIGER (4:32pm, 2000 metres)

The card begins with a €15,600 maiden challenge, giving FIUMICCINO, PRINCESS RECORD, GAYLE and other newcomers the chance to break their maiden tag early. VARYCHKINE, ALTXERRI and YOGUI could be the ones to watch if they take to the track conditions. This should set a lively tone for the evening.

Race 2: PRIX DE SAINT-SERNIN (5:07pm, 2400 metres)

The second race is a €19,200 Class 3 contest, where stallions, horses and mares aged 4 and over like PRETTY STORM, CHERGUI and SHARP RISE look poised to step forward, while NANTMOR, KING OF MEADOWS and COCOON QUATRE could provide stern opposition. A competitive clash as the action builds.

Race 3: PRIX GUY DU FAUR DE PIBRAC (5:42pm, STEEPLE-CHASE, 3500 metres)

The first jumping race of the card comes in the third, a €26,000 hurdle where all horses aged 5 and over such as DEMON DU BERLAIS, TAFEDNEY and JUST A KISS SIVOLA appear well-prepared to tackle the obstacles, but JAROUSSKY, GENTEEL STAR and ROSE ROUGE may finish strongly if they handle the course smoothly. Always a crowd-pleaser when the hurdles come into play.

Race 4: PRIX JEAN DE TAURIAC (6:20pm, 2000 metres)

The fourth race brings us back to the flat with a €20,100 clash of Class 2, where 3-year-old colts, geldings and fillies like RAKHIM, KHELONYX, INDIAN STREAK, WILD ANGEL, ALMAROMY, SIGNOR GALLI and KALAOUN will be hoping to dominate from the start. A good mid-card test before the second jumping event.

Race 5: PRIX DES 36 PONTS (6:55pm, HURDLES, 3500 metres)

The second obstacle race of the day is a €26,000 hurdle race where 4-year-old colts and fillies like MANAVA, PIERRE EN RIT and BELLE ROCHELAISE look to show their jumping class. HOT IN FRONT, LUI POUR MOI, LANZAROTE and LE PHOCEA could challenge late, making this a race where timing and accuracy over fences will be key.

Race 6: PRIX FREDERIC BOUAS (7:27pm, 2100 metres)

The sixth race lines up 3-year-old colts, geldings and fillies with €20,000 up for grabs. Here MUSTAWLI, BIN NARAIN and FATH ALKHAIR are expected to feature prominently while NIKI AL MAURY, MORPHEE DE BOZOULS, JABRA’AN AL SHAHANIA and MN AAZAR may also have claims if they settle early.

Race 7: PRIX SHARAAF (7:59pm, 2400 metres)

The seventh race is another flat contest featuring 3-year-old colts, geldings and fillies with stakes €19,200. SIEGLINDE, BLUE SEABIRD and JURMALA will look to strike late in the day, but TORPILLON, HANMER SPRINGS and MERLE NOIR might have enough in hand to fend off the challengers.

Race 8: PRIX ANDRE LAHOUILLE (8:31pm, 2400 metres)

The meeting concludes with stallions, geldings and mares aged 4 and over taking the centre stage with stakes of €18,300. Here JAKSON,               EMERYS DE LARACHI and LINGOT D’ARGENT aim to sign off the evening in style. HYDE POMPADOUR, LASTROGENE D’AYZA and KRIPTOGENE D’AYZA could spoil the party with a big late run. A fitting finale to a varied card.

As night falls over Toulouse, the mix of flat sprints, challenging hurdles, and tactical steeplechases will have provided a perfect blend of excitement. From the first maiden to the last charge for glory, this twilight meeting promises to leave fans with plenty of highlights — and maybe a few new names to follow in the weeks ahead.
