The momentum of Day 8 at the Mysore Summer Races 2025 continued with the third race on the card, the Mudigere Plate, offering spectators a closely fought 1400-meter contest for horses rated 20 to 45. With ₹4,50,000 in prize money up for grabs, the 3:30 pm event featured a competitive field but it was To Hot To Touch who emerged victorious in a well-timed finish.
Abhishek Mhatre, already enjoying a successful afternoon, produced another composed ride aboard the winner trained by Pratap Kamath M. The pair hit the front inside the final furlong and held off the challengers to clock 1:24.164. The winner races in the silks of Col. Kuldeep Singh Garcha and Mr. Girish S., and continues to show steady progress this season.
Polar Wind produced a strong effort under Faiz for trainer Monnappa C. D., staying within striking distance throughout but ultimately finishing second in 1:24.636.
D Lord, sent off as the tote-favourite, was expected to feature prominently but could only manage third. Guided by Shamaz Shareef for trainer Bipin V. Salvi, the runner-up clocked 1:25.105.
