The penultimate race of the day at Mysore, The Ranibennur Plate, brought together a competitive field over 1600 meters for horses rated 40 to 65. With a purse of ₹5,75,000 at stake, the contest delivered a compelling middle-distance battle.

Emerging as the clear winner was Tignanello, expertly guided by M. S. Deora and trained by Suraj Prasad Shaw. Representing Ms. Rapar’s Galloping Stars LLP, rep. by Mr. Rajendran, the gelding put in a commanding performance to take home the top honor in 1:39.740, showcasing stamina and polish.

Runner-up honours went to Natural Tornado, trained by Mansoor Khan and ridden by S. G. Prasad. The gelding tracked the leaders closely but couldn’t match the finishing power of Tignanello, yet stayed on gamely to finish a solid second in 1:40.676.

Stablemate Natural Warrior, also trained by Mansoor Khan and partnered by Ankit Pal, rounded off the top three with a determined effort in 1:40.912, completing a double representation for the trainer in the frame.

With The Ranibennur Plate concluded, the stage is now set for the day’s finale—the Goa Plate, a much-anticipated event slated for 5:00 pm. Stay tuned for the final result update from what has already been an action-packed day of racing at Mysore.
