Competition is heating up in Racing League 2025 after a thrilling third night of action at Chepstow. With four teams now firmly in the title mix, this year’s edition is shaping up to be the most unpredictable yet.

Racing League 2025 Heats Up After Chepstow’s Night Three

Heading into Race 21, The East had momentarily surrendered their lead. But a commanding one-two finish from Crowd Quake and Salamanca City saw them reclaim pole position in the Racing League 2025 standings.

Crowd Quake, trained by Stuart Williams and brilliantly ridden by Marco Ghiani, secured his sixth win of the year. “It was great to get the call-up,” said Ghiani. “Crowd Quake keeps improving. He pricked his ears in front and ran with a nice rhythm. The cut in the ground really helped.”

The East now top the table with 395 points, but their margin is narrow. London & The South follow on 379, while Yorkshire is right behind on 353. Scotland is still in the hunt too, with a competitive 328.

Yorkshire produced another standout night, building on their joker-powered 80-point haul from Wolverhampton. Adrian Keatley’s Roberto Caro won Race 15, and Flag Of St George brought home Race 18 for Jane Chapple-Hyam.

“I’ve been doing this a long time,” said Yorkshire captain Leonna Mayor. “You can’t force trainers to run. I just encourage them and hope. What a night! It shocked me a bit, honestly.” Yorkshire finished with 156 points—beating their own record from Newcastle in 2023.

London & The South also hit the scoreboard twice. Shamrock Bay broke his string of second-place finishes to win Race 16, and the ever-reliable Great Acclaim added another victory in Race 17 under Charlie Bishop.

“What a week!” said owner Gareth Owen after Great Acclaim’s win. “Winning at Goodwood and Chepstow in such quick succession is amazing. He’s done us proud. The blinkers and the shorter trip suited him perfectly.”

Co-trainer Daniel Kubler praised Shamrock Bay’s professionalism: “He was sold to Hong Kong but came back. It’s nice for the owners that he’s made good. He’s really learned how to race this season.”

Meanwhile, Wales & The West kept faint hopes alive with a joker win in Race 20 thanks to Beylerbeyi. Jamie Osborne’s squad now sits fifth on 304 points.

“We probably can’t win it,” admitted Osborne. “But winners still matter. Last year we had a stable of handicapped horses ready for this. This year, we’ve underperformed. Still, there’s pride and prize money to chase.”

Ireland found success with Billie Be Quick, who stormed to victory in Race 19 under Daniel Tudhope. “Danny gave her a lovely ride,” said owner-breeder Sebastian Curran. “Kate Harrington picked this race weeks ago. It’s paid off.”

Here are the standings after night three of Racing League 2025:

  • The East – 395 pts
  • London & The South – 379 pts
  • Yorkshire – 353 pts
  • Scotland – 328 pts
  • Wales & The West – 304 pts
  • Ireland – 291 pts
  • The North – 235 pts
