The 15th day of the Bangalore Summer Meeting kicked off with intensity and excitement as racegoers gathered to witness a competitive seven-race card. The day opened with The Galilee Plate, a handicap run over 1800 meters for horses rated 20 to 45, offering total prize money of ₹5,10,000.

Thrill of Brazil claimed the first victory of the afternoon with a determined performance. Trained by Md Sajid Qu’shi and ridden by V. R. Jagadeesh, the runner, owned by Mr. A.K. Jaiswal and Mr. A.P. Shajid, stopped the clock at 1:52.863 in a thrilling finish.

Just a nose behind was Ksepiman, piloted by Vivek G. and trained by Rutherford Alford, who came within inches of toppling the eventual winner. The close finish, timed at 1:52.868, left the crowd buzzing with anticipation for the rest of the day.

Wolf Creek completed the top three with a solid effort under P. Vikram, trained by James Mckeown, finishing in 1:53.629.

The track conditions were favorable for the start of the day’s proceedings, with railings placed at an average width of 5.0 meters from the 1600-meter mark to the winning post. The going was rated “Good” with a penetrometer reading of 3.1 cm.

With the curtain-raiser concluded in dramatic fashion, attention now turns to the next contest on the card, The Fire Haven Plate, as the racing action at Bangalore continues to unfold with promise and pace.
