The performance gave Doyle an early success on the card and set the tone for an action-packed evening at the Yorkshire track.

The second race, the JW 4X4 Northallerton Irish EBF Novice Stakes, was contested over seven furlongs. National Honour (IRE) continued the successful evening for James Doyle by taking the honours. The result gave the jockey a notable double from the first two races, with National Honour producing a strong performance over the seven-furlong trip.

The Heineken 0% Handicap Stakes, the third race of the evening, was run over five furlongs and provided the card’s shortest-distance contest. Equity Law, ridden by David Allan, emerged as the winner. The five-furlong event placed considerable emphasis on pace, with Equity Law proving the strongest performer to claim the third race.

Attention then turned to the Andrew Seaton Celebration Cup Handicap Stakes, held over seven furlongs. Raging Raj (IRE) came out on top with Tom Eaves in the saddle. The victory added another successful performance over seven furlongs to an evening that had already seen National Honour triumph over the same distance.

The fifth race was the Malton Marquees Racing Through the Summer Handicap Stakes, contested over seven furlongs and 218 yards. Military Leader secured the victory with Paul Mulrennan aboard. The extended seven-furlong distance demanded a combination of speed and stamina, and Military Leader produced the performance required to finish at the head of the field.

The evening concluded with the Birra Moretti Handicap Stakes, a Class 6 contest over one mile, four furlongs and 14 yards. Recobella (FR) was the final winner of the meeting, with Tom Kiely-Marshall partnering the successful runner. The longest race of the card provided a significant test of stamina, and Recobella handled the distance effectively to bring the six-race programme to a close.

Final Objective opened proceedings over six furlongs, while National Honour and Raging Raj delivered notable performances over seven furlongs.
