The action-packed 4th race of the MADRAS RACES 2025-2026, held on Friday, 10th October 2025, featured The Delage Handicap — a competitive Class III handicap for horses rated 40 to 65 (20 to 39 eligible) over 1200 metres at 3:45 PM. Thessalian (J: Vinod Shinde), trained by Prasanna Kumar for MS Rapar’s Galloping Stars LLP represented by Mr Rajendran’s Mr Sp Thirunavukkarasu, delivered an authoritative performance, crossing the finish line in 1:11.872 to claim a memorable victory.

From the break, Thessalian settled well in midfield, conserving energy while keeping a watchful eye on the pace setters. As the field entered the final bend, Vinod Shinde expertly angled Thessalian wide, unleashing a powerful surge in the home straight. With a display of impeccable timing and sustained speed, Thessalian surged past the front runners to seize the lead and hold it decisively to the wire.

Cynosure (J: Darshan N, T: R Ramanathan) chased relentlessly and secured second place in 1:12.449, staying within striking distance for much of the run. Dynamic Force (J: Neeraj Rawal, T: Joseph B Awale) made a late flourish to finish a close third in 1:12.483, with the top three separated by less than a second.

With the crowd still buzzing, attention now turns to the eagerly awaited Coromandel Gromor Fillies Trial Stakes, set to run at 4:15 PM. Stay tuned for the latest updates and full race coverage only on RaceBuzz.
