The Regency Gold Plate DIV I Results: Ziva held off a late surge to win the sixth race of the Mysore Monsoon Races (3rd Day) on September 11. Partnered by Suhas K for trainer V Lokanath, the three-year-old filly by Win Legend (JPN) out of Integra justified her tote favouritism, stopping the clock at 1:11.493 for the 1200-metre trip. The victory delighted her owners — M/s H.K. Lakshman Gowda, Sharath M Narayana, and V Lokanath.
Mark One and Moana in pursuit
Second place went to Mark One (J: Prabhu Kumar M / T: Bobby M), who finished 1¼ lengths behind in 1:11.545. Moana (J: Pavan / T: M. Eshwer) followed in third, just half a length away, with a time of 1:12.234.
Able One and Martino fill the frame
Further back, Able One (J: Asirvatham / T: Azhar Ali) finished fourth in 1:12.333, while Martino (J: R. Ravi / T: Gnanashekar A) completed the frame in fifth, clocking 1:12.461.
The race carried a purse of ₹4,50,000, with the winner earning ₹2,25,000. Ziva’s determined finish underlined her promise for future contests in higher classes.
The curtain comes down on the day’s action with the Talakadu Plate at 5:00 PM, the concluding event of the third day of the Mysore Monsoon Meeting.
