The pace stayed strong at Mysore Race Club as the fifth race of the day, The Kanchanganga Plate Div 2, unfolded over a testing 1400 meters for horses rated 40 to 65. And rising to the occasion was The Golden Sunrise, who galloped into the spotlight with a well-judged ride.
Y. S. Srinath, ever composed in the saddle, guided the horse to victory in a time of 1:25.442, securing a comfortable finish for owner Mr. Girish Byrappa. The win was both stylish and efficient, showcasing The Golden Sunrise’s ability to handle middle-distance tests with ease.
Following close behind in second was Pretty Move, piloted by S. Antony Raj for trainer Rakesh, who timed 1:25.702, just a length adrift. Sapient, under Vinod Shinde, ran a determined race to clinch third place in 1:26.088 for trainer Pillay J S, ensuring tight margins between the top contenders.
