Thalassa wins the Gamble for Love Trophy under Aditya Waydande in a tight finish at Pune

The seventh race of the day was the Gamble for Love Trophy, a 1400-meter class I handicap for horses rated 80 and above, offering a prize pool of ₹10,00,000. The contest brought together a field of seasoned contenders and lived up to expectations with a close and thrilling finish.

Emerging as the standout performer was Thalassa, who surged ahead under a composed ride from Aditya Waydande. Trained by Faisal A. Abbas, the winner clinched the top prize with a winning time of 1:24.551. Thalassa is owned by Mr Cowas D. Bajan, Mr Ajay Jalan (representing Ultimo Stud Farm Pvt Ltd), Mr Thanniru Srinivas, Mr Ranjit Pai, Mr Narendra Kumar Ambwani, and Mr Chanakya Sanjeev Kumar Gaur.

Just a step behind, Christophany fought hard to secure second place by clocking at 1:24.601. The runner-up was piloted by Neeraj Rawal and trained by Imtiaz A. Sait.

Market King, also trained by Imtiaz A. Sait and partnered by Antony Raj S., completed the top three, stopping the clock at 1:24.916.

With this gripping finish behind us, attention now shifts to the penultimate race of the day, the Vibrant Plate Division I.
