Less than 24 hours after dominating the Royal Kolkata Turf Club with four victories, India’s top most jockey Suraj Narredu is set to compete in two high-profile races at the Dubai Racing Carnival today (March 14th). A multiple Indian Derby winner and one of the most celebrated riders in India, Narredu will make his long-awaited return to Dubai Racing Club, marking his first rides in the UAE since 2006.

His first appearance will be in Race 8, the Longines Spirit Zulu Time, a 1,200-meter contest scheduled to start at 21:45 (local time). Narredu will be aboard DIAMOND DEALER (USA), a 3-year-old chestnut colt sired by LORD NELSON (USA) out of CATCHING DIAMONDS (USA). Trained by Bhupat Seemar and owned by Vaibhav Shah, the promising colt will be looking to make an impact in this sprint.

Shortly after, Narredu will contest Race 9, the Longines Conquest Chronograph, a 1,600-meter Handicap, which is set to go off at 22:20. This time, he will partner with LENORMAND (GB), a 5-year-old bay gelding sired by DUBAWI (IRE) out of BAISSE (GB). The horse is owned by Sayed Hashish and will look to capitalize on its past performances in competitive handicaps.

Recognizing his stature in the sport, Dubai Racing Club extended a warm welcome to the star jockey, posting on social media:

“Welcome back, Suraj! He’s ridden more than 2,400 winners, including 100 Classics. Suraj rides LENORMAND and DIAMOND DEALER tomorrow, his first UAE mounts since 2006.”

For Narredu, today’s rides are more than just another international outing, they are a chance to reaffirm his standing on the global stage. His recent form has been outstanding, and after a dominant display in Kolkata, he now looks to make an impact in Dubai. His participation not only highlights his own career achievements but also shines a spotlight on Indian horse racing in one of the world’s most prestigious racing circuits.

All eyes will be on Meydan Racecourse tonight as Suraj Narredu takes center stage, carrying forward his momentum in pursuit of international success
