The Romantic Dance Plate Div I, the seventh and final race of the Bangalore Summer Meeting 2025 Day 5, brought the curtain down on a thrilling day of action at the Bangalore Turf Club Ltd. on May 31st. This 1400-meter handicap, held at 5:00 PM, was open to horses rated 20 to 45, and it concluded the card with a commanding victory from Stentorian.
Trained by S. Narredu and brilliantly ridden by Shezad Khan, Stentorian settled in the mid-pack before producing a well-timed run down the home stretch. The gelding surged ahead in the final furlong, responding gamely to his jockey’s urgings and sealing a decisive win to wrap up the day in style for the Narredu yard.
In second came Star Honour, also trained by S. Narredu, with Darshan R. N in the saddle. The runner-up stayed within striking distance throughout the trip and made a strong late rally, giving Narredu a remarkable one-two finish in the finale — his second consecutive 1-2 result of the day following the Chettinad Stud Plate.
Completing the top-three was Eclipse Pulse, trained by Azhar Ali and ridden by Asirvatham. The gelding made steady progress from the rear of the field and did well to finish in the money, hinting at further improvement in similar class.
With all seven races concluded, the summer air at BTC buzzed with anticipation for what’s next. As the evening celebrations rolled on, attention now shifts to the next race day on June 1st, 2025, featuring another seven-race card promising more high-octane competition.
