The penultimate race of the Bangalore Summer Meeting Day 13 saw Star Concept deliver a well-measured performance to win The Poonawalla Stud Plate Div I. This 1200-meter handicap event was open to horses rated 40 to 65, five years old and over, offering a prize purse of ₹6,30,000. The race unfolded at 4:30 pm with a competitive field, but it was Star Concept who grabbed the spotlight.
Trained by Rajesh Narredu and piloted by Shezad Khan, Star Concept surged to the front in the final stages to clinch a deserving win for owners Mr. Sunil K. Vasant, Mr. Karan Kashinath Stride Livestock Pvt Ltd, and Mr. Chetan Shantilal Shah. Clocking 1:15.22, the gelding showcased great balance and finishing speed to seal the victory.
Following closely in second was Dynamic Force, trained by Joseph B. Awale and ridden by N. S. Parmar. The duo pressed forward with intent but had to settle for runner-up honors, timing at 1:15.56.
Completing the top three was Aherne, guided by C. A. Brisson for trainer Imtiaz Khan. Aherne posted a respectable 1:15.74, holding off late challengers to claim third in what turned out to be a closely contested finish.
