Small Dreams ends season on a winning note in Bangalore’s Champion Jockey Cup Div II
The concluding event of the Bangalore Summer Meeting was the Champion Jockey Cup Div II, a 1200-metre handicap race for horses rated 20 to 45, offering ₹5,10,000 as the total prize money.
Small Dreams brought the curtains down on the day with an authoritative performance, guiding the season to a close in style. Piloted by Akshay Kumar and trained by Vishesh M.P., the horse surged past rivals in a composed finish, clocking a time of 1:13.24.
Owned by Mr. Vikram Sreeram, Mrs. Sandhya Sreeram, Mr. Sandeep C Raghuram, Mr. V Srinivasa Murthy, Mr. Kiran Gowda, Mr. C N Shashikiran, Dr T. S. Ravindra, and M/s. Cherie Sports Pvt Ltd, Small Dreams rewarded the ownership group with a season-ending triumph.
The runner-up spot was secured by Divo, ridden by Vinod Shinde for trainer S. Shoban Babu, finishing in 1:13.29. Honest Desire, under Aleemuddin and trained by Arjun Mangalorkar, rounded off the frame in 1:13.68.
