The highlight of Day 6 at the Mysore Summer Races 2025 came in the form of the eagerly anticipated Mysore Fillies Trial Stakes, a prestigious 1400-meter terms race for three-year-old Indian fillies. With a total prize purse of ₹11,20,000 and ₹6,72,000 reserved for the winner, the race flagged off at 4:00 PM and lived up to every bit of its billing.
Emerging triumphant in a thrilling photo finish was Shine, trained by the Vijay Singh and confidently ridden by A. Sandesh. Racing in the silks of Cairnhill Stud Farm Pvt. Ltd. Rep by Mr. Subir Dasgupta & Sarainaga Racing Pvt. Ltd., Shine crossed the finish line in 1:23.076, holding off a stiff challenge in the final strides.
Close on her heels was See The Light, trained by S. S. Attaollahi and guided by top jockey P. Trevor, who delivered a strong run of her own before narrowly missing out. Owned by Mr. C. Aryama Sundaram, she clocked 1:23.985, just under a second behind the winner.
Completing the trifecta was Zilfee, partnered by Akshay Kumar (HYD) and trained by Eshwer M, representing Dr. M.A.M. Ramaswamy Chettiar of Chettinad Charitable Trust (rep. Dr. A.C. Muthiah). Zilfee ran an impressive race, finishing in 1:24.044.
