The fourth race of the day at Mysore Race Club, The Kapila Plate, brought middle-distance excitement over 1600 meters for horses rated 20 to 45. Offering a purse of ₹4,50,000, the race featured a competitive line-up, but it was Serdar who delivered a confident and classy performance to emerge victorious.

Trained by J. S. Pillay and piloted by L. Alex Rozario, Serdar controlled the pace with composure before asserting in the final stages. Racing in the ownership of Mr. Deepak Kumar, the gelding crossed the line in 1:39.454, stamping authority on the mile contest and securing a well-earned win for his connection.

Finishing second was Polar Wind, trained by C. D. Monnappa and ridden by Faiz. The duo kept Serdar honest throughout the run but lacked the finishing gear to mount a real challenge, clocking 1:40.241 to settle for the runner-up position.

Magic Circle, representing the yard of Bipin V. Salvi and partnered by K. Sai Kiran, stayed on strongly to clinch third place, timing 1:40.295 and rounding off a tightly contested finish for the minor honors.

With The Kapila Plate now in the books, attention turns to the S.V. Subramaniam Memorial Trophy, a 1200-meter handicap event scheduled for 4:00 pm. As the action intensifies, fans can expect more drama and close finishes from the day’s remaining races.
