Racing will commence at 1:10pm and conclude at 6:20pm, with distances ranging from 5½ furlongs to 2⅜ miles. The card will be headlined by the prestigious Grade 1 A. P. Smithwick Memorial Handicap and the $200,000 Johnstone Stakes, while several maiden races will provide promising runners with valuable opportunities to make their mark.

The afternoon will get underway with Race 1 – The A. P. Smithwick Memorial Handicap (G1) at 1:10pm. The $150,000 feature will be contested over 2â…œ miles on turf, bringing together accomplished steeplechasers in one of the highlights of the meeting. Shortly afterwards, Race 2 at 1:48pm will see a $100,000 Maiden Special Weight over seven furlongs on dirt, where lightly raced runners and newcomers will look to begin their careers on a positive note.

The sprinting action will take centre stage in Race 5 at 3:30pm, a $78,000 Starter Optional Claiming over six furlongs on dirt, with seasoned campaigners expected to produce a competitive contest. The focus will then move to Race 6 at 4:04pm, a $115,000 Maiden Special Weight over 5½ furlongs on turf, providing another valuable opportunity for emerging talent to record a first career victory.

As the meeting enters its closing stages, Race 7 at 4:38pm will feature a $45,000 Maiden Claiming over six furlongs on dirt, where runners will attempt to break their maiden. That will be followed by Race 8 at 5:12pm, a $125,000 Allowance Optional Claiming over one mile on turf, bringing together another competitive field of established performers.

The spotlight will then turn to the feature flat race as Race 9 at 5:46pm presents the $200,000 The Johnstone Stakes over seven furlongs on dirt. The valuable stakes contest will showcase accomplished sprinters and will stand among the afternoon’s principal attractions. The curtain will finally fall with Race 10 at 6:20pm, a $56,000 Maiden Claiming over 1 1/16 miles on turf, giving late-developing runners one final opportunity to secure a maiden victory.
