Santa Anita Park is all set to host an exciting nine-race card on Friday, June 13, 2025, with the first post scheduled for 1:00 PM (PDT). The race day promises thrilling action with a mix of claiming, maiden, allowance, and optional claiming contests for a range of age groups and eligibility conditions.

The opening race is a claiming contest for fillies and mares aged three and older that have never won three races. The six-furlong sprint, offering $32,000 in prize money, features seven runners: Annie’s Joy, Gem Mine, Ready Jet Go, Quaria Thunder, Red Diamond, Kitty Kitana (GB), and Free and Humble.

At 1:30 PM, the second race of the day will see two-year-old maidens competing under special weight conditions for a purse of $60,000 over a five-furlong dash. The field includes Bella’s Bro, Proletariat, Jetway, Acknowledgemeplz, and Desert Gate.

The third race, at 2:00 PM, is a one-mile event with $23,000 in prize money, open to three-year-olds and older who have never won three races. The six-horse lineup includes Petesoldfashioned, Mongolian Max, Gavea, Be Punctual, Fireman Dan, and Uncharted.

Following this, a restricted claiming race will be held at 2:30 PM, limited to horses based in Northern California since January 1, 2024, or those that have raced for $6,250 or less recently. This five-and-a-half furlong event offers $15,000 and includes Big Don’s Smiling, Donttestyourluck, Whiskeyinateacup, Bobby’s Alibi, My Bucket List, Momo’s Kiddo, and Que Sera Sir Ralph.

The fifth race at 3:00 PM features California-bred or California-sired fillies aged three, which have not won a $21,000 allowance race other than maiden, claiming, or starter events, or who have never won two races. This six-furlong race carries a healthy $61,000 purse with nine contenders: How About Pavel, A Fleet Ride, Lil’ Bit Bossy, Spotted Haze, Kapalua Ride, Press Your Luck, Tight Squeeze, Hurricane Layla, and Ellen Jorth.

At 3:30 PM, the sixth race sees fillies and mares aged three and up compete over five and a half furlongs for $17,000. The seven horses entered are Smile Baby Smile, Toulouse Detrac, Stellar Cap, Putt for Dough, Outer Sunset, Miss Miche Lada, and High Gunner.

The seventh race begins at 4:00 PM, an allowance optional claiming race for three-year-olds who meet specific winning or claiming criteria. The one-mile race offers $61,000 in prize money and features Lyle The Crocodile (IRE), Helicity, Day and Age, Maaz (FR), Gun Runner Charlie, Game Warrior, Tariff, The Padre (IRE), Comininalittlehot, and Muscled.

Race eight, set for 4:30 PM, is another allowance optional claiming event for horses three and older who haven’t won two $21,000 races beyond maiden, claiming, or starter level. The six-furlong contest offers $63,000 and features Manitowish, Eagles Flight, Hejazi, Mbagnick (CHI), Vlahos, and Traegar.

The final race of the day, going off at 5:00 PM, is a maiden special weight race for three- to five-year-olds, covering six and a half furlongs with $33,000 in prize money. The field includes eleven horses: Makutu, Quick Question, Irish Whiskey, War to Remember, Tees Touch (GB), Djoser, Say Never No More (IRE), Video Review, San Anton (IRE), Smiling Tizzy, and Fleet Brotato.
