The HIPPODROME DE SAINT-CLOUD, just west of Paris, welcomed a refined eight-race card on 26th September, running from 1:43 pm to 5:48 pm. The meeting was built around a strong mix of Class 2 and Class 3 contests, making it more than your average local day – the kind of card that draws real interest across France and beyond. With soft turf underfoot and fields full of ambition, conditions added a layer of test to every finish, meaning winners had to show both heart and quality.

Race 1: PRIX ESMERALDA (1:43pm, 1600 metres)

The contest opened briskly, and SHAHBANU powered through in 1.49.75. Jockey AURELIEN LEMAITRE judged the pace just right, trainer TIM. DONWORTH had the horse tuned and ready, breeder ROUND HILL STUD will feel pride in the result, and owners             KANIZ BLOODSTOCK and LNJ FOXWOODS celebrated the early success. BARZAMBITION pressed until the line, while CHILL Y FLAMA stayed on gamely for a solid placing.

Race 2: PRIX DES TROIS ROSES D’ARGENT (2:18pm, 1200 metres)

Race 2 produced close calling, but PIANA edged ahead in 1.17. 5. The ride from jockey ANTHONY CRASTUS was both patient and assertive, trainer N. CAULLERY’s strategy paid off, breeders S.C.E.A. DES PRAIRIES, B. JEFFROY and JM. AIME saw their stock shine, and owner SAS ECURIE DES FORETS enjoyed the reward. TRINQUETTE kept up the pressure strongly, and NEW YORK MELODY ran on well for the third spot.

Race 3: PRIX BILL WILLIAMSON (2:53pm, 2000 metres)

The third event tested stamina over soft turf, and DESNA dug deep to seal it in 2.11.82. Jockey LUCA CARBONI steered with composure, trainer G. BATISTIC had the conditioning just right, breeders F. BIANCO and MME J. BIANCO took pride in the pedigree, and owner STALL TWO FACES rejoiced. GUARDIAN chased relentlessly, while CAMERON hung on creditably for third.

Race 4: PRIX KELTOS (3:28pm, 1600 metres)

Drama unfolded in race four, where UN INSTANT found strength late and crossed in 1.43.29. The performance reflected a smart ride by jockey ANTHONY CRASTUS, solid preparation by trainer N. PERRET, breeder CHINA HORSE CLUB INTERNATIONAL’s influence, and owner ECURIE THOMAS SIVADIER’s satisfaction. OZAT kept in contact until late, and WESTMINSTER NIGHT stayed persistent to complete the frame.

Race 5: PRIX THEBAIS (4:03pm, 1600 metres)

Midway through the card, MADAME LY asserted control in 1.46. 8. Jockey FABIEN LEFEBVRE gave a confident handling, trainer as well as owner S. GOUVAZE’s preparation was evident, breeder BOUTIN earned recognition and a fruitful result. DELIRE D’AMOUR ran a strong second, while ANNALIGHT made a late push to take third.

Race 6: PRIX DU HARAS DE LA HUME (4:38pm, 3000 metres)

Race six was a stern test, but AMIRAL D’AUMONT delivered under pressure in 3.25.85. Jockey MALONE FAVRIAUX rode with balance, trainer MME A. TINCHON’s plan came together, breeders MME C. CHORIER and C. CHORIER took satisfaction, and owners MME A.TINCHON and MME C.CHORIER shared the moment. KETMIE QUEEN stayed on well in pursuit, with AZOU holding form for third.

Race 7: PRIX HERVINE (5:13pm, 2400 metres)

In the penultimate event, ADLAN SENORA showed crisp turn-of-foot to win in 2.41.68. Jockey CLEMENT LECOEUVRE judged the phases expertly, trainer MME S. PENOT had the tactics right and breeder as well as owner ECURIE HARAS DES SENORA reaped reward and celebrated the late success. BRIONA pressed courageously, while SUMMER FLIRT stayed persistent to take the final placing.

Race 8: PRIX JOUVENCE (5:48pm, 2400 metres)

The finale wrapped up the afternoon in fitting style, with SHALOHA closing strongly in 2.41.12. Jockey TONY PICCONE delivered under pressure, trainer G. NICOT’s preparation held strong, breeder K. HOFMANN claimed another win, and owners C.GUIMARD, G.NICOT and EC.DES SABLES rejoiced. PURPLE MOOD made a late surge, and L’AGORA GAME stayed on with credit for third.

From Class 2 showdowns to hard-fought Class 3 tests, the Saint-Cloud meeting delivered plenty of substance alongside charm. With soft ground, quality fields, and that Parisian air, it felt like a meeting that reminded us of how refined flat racing can be.
