The experienced rider finished at the top of the standings after a consistent week of performances, ending the festival one win ahead of Dylan Browne McMonagle and James Doyle. Moore’s latest success further strengthened his association with one of the most important fixtures in the racing calendar.

Moore’s campaign featured victories in two of the festival’s most important contests. He guided Scandinavia to a second consecutive Group 1 Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup success on Tuesday, producing a composed ride in the staying feature.
The Coolmore retained rider added another top-level victory on Thursday when he partnered unbeaten Diamond Necklace to success in the Group 1 Qatar Nassau Stakes, confirming his dominance in the week’s major races.
Beyond the Group 1 highlights, Moore also enjoyed success aboard Man’s Best Friend in the Group 2 Markel Richmond Stakes. His tally was completed with handicap victories on Crimson Spirit and Hopewell Rock, helping him secure the leading rider honour.
Moore’s achievement came during a festival that showcased outstanding performances from riders, trainers and owners across five days of competitive racing. His ability to produce winning rides across different race conditions once again underlined his experience and consistency.
Dylan Browne McMonagle and James Doyle both finished close behind Moore in the final standings, with McMonagle playing a key role in Joseph O’Brien’s successful week by partnering all four of the trainer’s winners.
The Qatar Goodwood Festival also saw Joseph O’Brien claim his first leading trainer title after an impressive four-win campaign, while Wathnan Racing secured the leading owner award with seven victories during the meeting.
