March 30th, 2025 – ADONIS, ridden by jockey K Nazil and trained by Vijay Kasbekar won The Racing Journalists Trophy, the first race of the day at Royal Western India Turf Club’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse on Sunday. ADONIS recorded the time of 1:00:013 in this 1000 Meters race, in which tote favourite ARBITRAGE finished second with time of 1:00:135. MOMENT OF MADNESS was third to finish the race with timing of 1:00:392, while SORRENTO SECRET grabbed the fourth spot with timing of 1:00:466. The Racing Journalists Trophy had total prize money of Rs. 5,00,000, with Rs. 2,35,000 going to the winner. Second race of the day is The Western India Race Horse Owners Association Trophy which will be run over 2000 Meters and will start at 4:00 PM, some of the key contestants of this race include SPLENDIDO, EXUMA, THALASSA, FLAMING LAMBORGHINI, and EATON SQUARE.
