The action will begin with The Apprentice Handicap Stakes (Class 6) at 6:00pm. Run over 1m 1f 174y for £7,000, the opening contest will feature Sports Day, Balmoral Boy, Lc Tiffen, Baldosa, Riddikulus, Harswell River and Diamond Aura. The race will provide apprentice riders with an early opportunity to make their mark over a testing middle-distance trip.

The focus will then turn to The EBF Novice Stakes (Class 4) (GBB Race) at 6:30pm. Worth £11,000 and contested over 6f, the seven-runner event will include Towelontheterrace, Akaraka, Green Bay Dream, Pure Mint, Reflect On Glory, Khazamh and Peacock’s Way. The sprint is expected to offer another valuable test for several lightly raced horses as they continue their development.

Attention will next switch to The Fillies’ Novice Stakes (Class 4) (GBB Race) at 7:05pm. The £10,000 contest over 1m 4y will bring together Flawless Fusion, Fractional, Princess Honey Bee, Prosperity and Roccapina. Although the field contains five runners, the race will provide an important opportunity for promising fillies to gain further experience over the mile distance.

The evening programme will continue with The Nursery Handicap Stakes (Class 5) at 7:40pm. Six runners will compete over 6f for £9,000, with Harley, Paper View, Eleven Eighty Two, Empire Rising, Moriarty Moon and Aura of Melania all set to line up. The contest will give improving juveniles another chance to compete in handicap company.

Feature race honours will belong to The City of Ripon Handicap Stakes (Class 3) at 8:10pm. Carrying the highest prize fund of the meeting at £15,000, the race will be run over 1m 4y and will feature Command The Stars, Noelan Star, Masked Warrior, Daydreama, Enchant and Beyond The Bar. The Class 3 handicap is expected to be one of the most competitive contests on the programme and will stand as the highlight of the evening.

The meeting will conclude with The Sky 415 Handicap Stakes (Class 6) at 8:40pm. Run over the minimum trip of 5f for £7,000, the closing sprint will feature Cheerleader, Zuffolo, What A Tahoo, Brain Freeze, Doralee and Dunnington Lad. The fast-paced finale will bring the six-race programme to a close.

The six-race programme will offer a varied evening featuring apprentice, novice and handicap contests across a range of distances. With competitive fields assembled throughout the card and the City of Ripon Handicap Stakes providing the feature event, Ripon Race Cards 27 July will deliver another well-balanced fixture at one of Britain’s most established racecourses.
