Segenhoe’s Peter O’Brien expressed great satisfaction with the result, praising the horse’s standout qualities and the proven effectiveness of the Capitalist-Fastnet Rock bloodline combination. He recalled discussing the colt’s potential with Mick Price even before the sale and shared his delight in seeing that belief pay off with a top-tier win.
Co-trainer Mick Price also lauded Reserve Bank’s athleticism and temperament, noting the colt’s commanding presence and strong finishing effort over the 1200m trip. The staying ranks saw a new stakes winner emerge in the form of Litzdeel, who captured the Group 3 SA Fillies Classic. Gosford also played host to further Inglis success as Les Vampire showed tenacity to win the Listed Gosford Gold Cup, marking his third victory in four starts. In the Listed Takeover Target Stakes, Barber led home an Inglis quinella, continuing a productive run for Monarch Bloodstock since being sourced through the Inglis Digital platform.
On the Gold Coast, Rockribbed added to his credentials with a strong win in the Listed ATC Trophy. Originally bought for just $14,000 and later resold for $27,500, the seven-year-old has since returned nearly $400,000 in earnings, reflecting the value often found in online sales.
Also on the Gold Coast card, Pinito handled testing conditions with authority to take out the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet. Trained by James Cummings and bred by the Vieira Group, the promising filly now shapes as a serious contender for the Queensland Oaks.
