Under a bright Mysore sky, the spotlight fell on Race 5 of the Mysore (Monsoon) Races 2025 – Day 2, where the prestigious H.H. Sri Krishnaraja Wadiyar Memorial Trophy (Grade III) unfolded over 1400 meters at 04:00 PM. In a scintillating display of speed and composure, Raise A Buck (J: Antony Raj S., T: Rakesh) stormed home to claim the top honors for proud owners Mrs G K Harini & Mr Rakesh, stopping the clock at an impressive 1:22.324.

From the break, the contest promised fireworks, with a tightly packed field fighting for early positions. Raise A Buck settled comfortably just off the pace, tracking the leaders through the opening furlongs. Approaching the final 300 meters, jockey Antony Raj S. urged his mount forward, and the seasoned 7-year-old gelding responded with a commanding burst of acceleration. With flawless timing and sheer determination, he surged past his rivals to seal a decisive victory, showcasing why he remains a formidable force in graded company.

Behind the winner, African Gold (J: Akshay Kumar, T: Darius Byramji) finished a close second in 1:22.473, delivering a spirited run but finding the winner too strong in the final strides. Mandarino (J: Arvind Kumar N., T: Irfan Ghatala) produced a late rally to secure third place, clocking 1:22.828, ensuring a thrilling finish among the top contenders.
