February 7 will be set to showcase Arabian excellence as Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) prepares to stage the 47th Al Uqda Race Meeting, a compact yet high-calibre seven-race programme scheduled from 2:30pm to 6:00pm. With tradition, depth, and elite Arabian bloodlines at its core, the meeting will build steadily toward the Ain Sinan Cup, the feature race of the day, carrying a prize fund of 100,000 QAR and promising a fitting climax to the afternoon.

The meeting’s focal point will arrive at 6:00pm with Race 7 – the Ain Sinan Cup, a purebred Arabian open race, Class 2, contested over 2000 metres. A select field of five runners will assemble for the richest contest on the card, bringing together proven stables and elite international riding talent.
Al Kazim, to be partnered by Soufiane Saadi and trained by Gassim AlGhazali, will represent a powerful stable presence. Stablemate Hadi De Carrere, trained by Gassim AlGhazali and ridden by Marco Casamento, will add further depth from the same yard.

Asedah, under the guidance of Zuhair Mohsen with Szczepan Mazur aboard, will bring a contrasting profile, while M’tawa El Saa’yeb, trained by Hamad Al-Jehani and set to be ridden by Pierre Charles Boudot, will introduce international polish and tactical versatility. Rounding out the field, Nasser Al Shahania, trained by Rudy Andre Nerbonne and partnered by Lukas Delozier, will complete a feature race line-up defined by balance, experience, and elite connections.

The afternoon will begin at 2:30pm with Race 1, the Local Thoroughbred Maiden Plate, a Class 6 contest over 2000 metres. Five runners will line up for 45,000 QAR, opening the meeting with a test of patience and stamina as emerging talent takes centre stage.

At 3:05pm, Race 2 will shift focus to the Local Purebred Arabian Maiden Plate, also a Class 6 event. Run over 1200 metres, the race will feature a large field of 14 runners, all competing for 45,000 QAR, and is expected to inject early tempo and unpredictability into the card.

The middle of the programme will take shape at 3:40pm with Race 3, the Thoroughbred Handicap 45–65, another Class 6 contest over 2200 metres. With 14 runners and a prize fund of 45,000 QAR, the race will demand rhythm and stamina, rewarding those able to sustain effort across the longer trip.

At 4:15pm, attention will turn to Race 4, the Thoroughbred Handicap 0-70, a Class 5 Qatari riders’ race over 1200 metres. Fourteen runners will compete for 50,000 QAR, placing both riding judgment and pace control at the heart of the contest.

The Arabian theme will resume at 4:50pm with Race 5, the Purebred Arabian handicap 55-75, a Class 5 sprint over 1200 metres. Seven runners will chase a 50,000 QAR purse in what is set to be a sharper, tactical contest.

Stamina will again be tested at 5:25pm in Race 6, another Purebred Arabian handicap 55-75, this time stretched over 2200 metres. Nine runners will contest this Class 5 event for 50,000 QAR, serving as the final stepping stone toward the feature.

As the meeting draws toward its conclusion, all attention will naturally converge on the Ain Sinan Cup. Qatar Racecards 7 February will be set to deliver a meeting that blends developing talent with proven class, culminating in a feature race that reflects the prestige and growing depth of Arabian racing in Al Uqda.
