The RWITC (Royal Western India Turf Club) continued an action-packed Pune Meeting, 2nd Day, Friday, 24th July 2026, with three competitive races producing impressive performances across different classes. The afternoon programme featured the 4th Race – The World’s Oldest Barbershop Trophy DIV II, the 5th Race – The Classic Talk Plate, and the 6th Race – The Dr. Anil Kumar Salver DIV I, covering distances from 1000 metres to 1400 metres. Another memorable chapter in the Pune race result 24th July saw DEDICATION, BLUE JET, and PINNACLE emerge victorious for their respective connections.
The action resumed at 02:30 PM with the 4th Race – The World’s Oldest Barbershop Trophy DIV II, a Class III contest for horses rated 40 to 66 over 1400 metres. DEDICATION, partnered by Neeraj Rawal and trained by Shazaan Shah, produced a determined effort to win in 1:26.742. Racing in the colours of Miss Ameeta Mehra, Mr Saif Ali Khan Pataudi, Mr Kishore P. Rungta, Mr Amit V. Menda, Mr Chirag V. Shah & Mr Narendra Kumar Ambwani, Dedication travelled comfortably before responding strongly in the straight to narrowly hold off the late challenge.
WINGS OF FURY (J: Shrikant Kamble, T: Adhirajsingh Jodha) finished a close second in 1:26.822, while QUEEN OF BEAUTIES (J: Akshay Kumar, T: Aman Altaf Hussain) stayed on to secure third in 1:27.040, producing one of the closest finishes of the afternoon.
The spotlight then shifted to the 5th Race – The Classic Talk Plate, a Terms race for three-year-old horses over 1000 metres, run at 03:00 PM. BLUE JET, ridden by P. Trevor and trained by Deepesh Narredu, showcased his speed and maturity with a polished winning performance. The winner represented the colours of Mr Niraj Tyagi and Mr Vikas Sachdeva rep. Blazing Saddles PF, Mr Akshay Bansarilal Arora, Mr Teja Gollapudi & Mr Hatim A. Lakdawala.
Settled prominently throughout the sprint, Blue Jet quickened smartly inside the final furlong to secure victory with authority, confirming the promise shown by the three-year-old. ELEVATE (J: S. J. Sunil, T: Deepesh Narredu) finished second after keeping the winner honest, while ROCK ARMOUR (J: C. S. Jodha, T: P. S. Chouhan) completed the top three.
The afternoon card continued at 03:30 PM with the 6th Race – The Dr. Anil Kumar Salver DIV I, a Class IV event for horses rated 20 to 46 over 1200 metres. PINNACLE, guided by P. Trevor for trainer M. Narredu, produced another accomplished display to add his name to the day’s list of winners. The victory came in the colours of Dr Ram H. Shroff & Mr Raj H. Shroff rep. Stride Livestock Pvt. Ltd., Mr S. R. Sanas, Mr Subodh Maskara & Mr Pankaj Kumar Maskara rep. Citoc Ventures Private Limited, Mr Chetan Shah & Mr Sunil S. Majithia.
Pinnacle travelled smoothly before producing a decisive finishing effort under P. Trevor, pulling clear at the right moment to secure a comfortable success. STORM MAJESTY (J: A. Sandesh, T: Aman Altaf Hussain) finished second, while NEPTUNE (J: Ramswarup, T: Adhirajsingh Jodha) claimed third.
With three races successfully completed, the excitement at Pune Racecourse continued to build as attention turned to the 7th Race – The World’s Oldest Barbershop Trophy DIV I, scheduled for 04:00 PM, with more quality racing still to come during the Pune Meeting.
