Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) continued the Pune Meeting, 2nd Day, Friday, 24th July 2026, with the 8th Race – The Unicorn Plate, a Class IV contest for horses rated 20 to 46 over 1600 metres, run at 4:30 PM. In another notable Pune race result 24th July, CARADOC produced a polished performance to register an impressive victory under Akshay Kumar for trainer Dallas Todywalla. Representing Mr Nozer Panthaky, Mr Mukul Sonawala, Mr Girish S. Mehta, Mr D. R. Thacker rep. DT Racing & Breeders LLP & Mr Munchi P. Shroff, the winner displayed determination and class to secure the feature.
Settled comfortably through the early stages, CARADOC travelled strongly before making a decisive move approaching the final stretch. Akshay Kumar judged the pace to perfection, allowing the gelding to quicken when it mattered most and maintain a clear advantage to the winning post. The well-timed challenge ensured CARADOC remained in control during the closing stages, rewarding trainer Dallas Todywalla with another notable success at Pune.
EKATARINA, ridden by Neeraj Rawal and trained by Imtiaz A. Sait, finished a creditable second after staying on gamely throughout the contest. FLOYD, partnered by T. S. Jodha for trainer Behram Cama, completed the placings in third with another consistent effort.
Attention now shifts to the 9th Race – The Beyond Expectation Plate, scheduled for 5:00 PM, where the day’s action is set to conclude with another competitive contest.
