Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) opened another memorable chapter of the Pune Meeting, 1st Day, Friday, 17th July 2026, as the 7th Race – The Elegance Plate brought together seasoned campaigners in a Terms race for horses aged four years old and over over 1200 metres at 5:00 PM. Adding another exciting chapter to the Pune race result 17th July, AEON FLUX produced a polished performance under A. Sandesh to secure victory for trainer Faisal A. Abbas. Racing in the colours of Ms Cowas D Bajan, Peter C D’souza & Faisal A Abbas, the winner stamped authority on the contest with a confident finishing effort.

Breaking smartly and settling into a comfortable rhythm, AEON FLUX travelled strongly throughout the six-furlong journey before quickening decisively in the closing stages. A. Sandesh timed his challenge to perfection, allowing the gelding to assert superiority inside the final furlong and maintain control all the way to the winning post. The victory reflected both tactical precision in the saddle and excellent preparation from trainer Faisal A. Abbas.
PHANTASMIQUE finished second with J. Chinoy aboard for trainer Narendra Lagad, staying on well to claim the runner-up position. WHISPER, partnered by Aditya Waydande for trainer M. Narredu, completed the placings in third after a determined late effort. (Official race times for the top three were not available at the time of publication.)
