Looking Like A Wow (J: Ramswarup) showcased poise and power, crossing the finish line in 2:09:025 to claim a decisive victory for trainer Subhag Singh, racing in the silks of Mr Sudendu Shah, Mr K M Shah, Mrs Preeti C Shah, Mr Tanmay V Mathurawala, Mr Thi Ha & Mr Subhag Singh.
Breaking smoothly from the gates, Looking Like A Wow settled comfortably in mid-division before gradually improving position approaching the final bend. Ramswarup angled his mount outward and urged him forward with determination, and the horse responded with a strong finishing burst in the last furlong, surging past the leaders to win in style.
Daianne (J: Bhawani Singh, T: Karthik Ganapathy) held on tenaciously to finish second in 2:09:425, while Silver Braid (J: Aditya Waydande, T: Imtiaz A. Sait) stayed on resolutely to claim third in 2:10:097, rounding off a thrilling opener.
With the first race setting a high-octane tone, attention now turns to The Conrad Hotels Trophy (Div II) at 01:40 PM, promising more excitement at Pune Racecourse on this SPECIAL RACE DAY.
