The second race of the Pune Meeting 2025 – Special Race Day, the Enigma Trophy, delivered an afternoon highlight on Sunday, 19th October 2025, at the Royal Western India Turf Club. A Class I contest for horses rated 80 and upward (60 to 79 eligible) over 1600 metres, it witnessed Pride’s Prince (J: A. Prakash) storm to a confident victory for trainer Imtiaz A. Sait, clocking 1:38:095. Racing in the distinguished silks of Mr Sudendu Shah, Mrs Preeti C. Shah, Mr Kishore P. Rungta, Mrs Pooja S. Shah, Dr Rahul Shah, Mr K. M. Shah, Mr Chaitanya Shah, Mr Tanmay V Mathurawala, Mr Chetan Kantilal Shah & Mr Jayesh Kantilal Shah, Pride’s Prince showed his class in a commanding performance that thrilled the Sunday crowd.

Breaking smartly and settling well through the early strides, A. Prakash kept Pride’s Prince in a handy position behind the pacesetters before pressing forward at the top of the straight. With a polished ride and a burst of acceleration inside the final furlong, the gelding pulled clear to secure a stylish win, reaffirming his place among Pune’s most consistent milers under the expert conditioning of Imtiaz A. Sait.

The ever-consistent Madam Rich (J: Vivek G., T: B. Prithviraj) finished second in 1:38:521, keeping the winner honest throughout the final stretch, while Mojito (J: N. S. Parmar, T: M. K. Jadhav) ran a determined race to claim third in 1:38:903, completing a competitive finish among the top trio.

With The Enigma Trophy concluded in style, attention now turns to the Oakwood Residence Pune Trophy, scheduled for 2:20 PM, promising another gripping contest at the Pune racecourse.
