Pole Star Signs Off Day 9 with Commanding Win at BTC

The Bangalore Summer Meeting – Day 9 drew to a close with a determined win from Pole Star in the final contest on the card, The Royal Command Plate. Held over 1200 meters and open to horses rated 20 to 45, the day’s sixth and concluding race kept the momentum going right to the finish.

Ridden confidently by Darshan N and trained by Prasanna Kumar, Pole Star made every stride count, crossing the wire in 1:17.10 to clinch the win and earn the connections a prize of ₹2,54,995. It was a well-judged ride and a fitting end to an eventful day at the Bangalore Turf Club.

Coming in second was Basilica, guided by Ramswarup and trained by S.S. Attaollahi, who registered a time of 1:18.22, picking up ₹1,27,495 for a strong placing.

Sienna Princess, with K. Sai Kiran in the saddle for trainer Warren Singh, closed out the top three in 1:18.56, securing ₹76,495.

As the grandstands emptied and the sun dipped beyond the turf, attention now turns to June 15th, 2025, which features seven races starting at 1:30 pm. The day’s centerpiece will be the much-anticipated Benaka Developers Fillies Championship Stakes, a 1600-meter contest slated for 3:50 pm with a purse of ₹29,69,998. It’s set to be a defining moment in the summer calendar and promises high-quality action.
