The Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) is all set to return to one of its most iconic venues—the magnificent city of Paris—from June 20 to 22, 2025. Set beneath the Eiffel Tower, this much-anticipated stop of the tour is more than just a competition; it’s a celebration of elite sport, elegance, and cultural grandeur. With the Paris leg marking the eighth stage of the 2025 season, the stakes have never been higher, and the global show jumping elite are ready for action.
As the championship nears its halfway mark, the battle for supremacy intensifies. Gilles Thomas, who currently leads the standings, will go head-to-head with French crowd favorite Simon Delestre, who’s right behind him in the rankings. The clash between these two riders is expected to be one of the defining moments of the season as valuable points are on the line.
Adding even more thrill to the weekend, former Paris Grand Prix champion Christian Ahlmann makes a return, aiming to secure a record third title at this venue. He’s joined by recent Grand Prix winners Ioli Mytilineou and Abdel Said, both of whom are eyeing a further climb up the leaderboard. Local hero Jeanne Sadran, the 2024 champion in Paris, is also set to compete and is aiming for back-to-back victories against a fierce lineup that includes LGCT reigning champion Max Kuhner, along with top contenders like Andreas Schou and Denis Lynch.
This year’s field is nothing short of spectacular. Fans will see the likes of former LGCT Super Grand Prix winners Victor Bettendorf, Henrik von Eckermann, and Julien Epaillard competing alongside international show jumping stars such as Jérôme Guéry, Katrin Eckermann, Sanne Thijssen, Marlon Zanotelli, Marcus Ehning, Marco Kutscher, Niels Bruynseels, Pieter Devos, Olivier and Nicola Philippaerts, and Jessica Springsteen. The competition will unfold in what many regard as the most glamorous arena in the world.
Since its debut on the LGCT calendar in 2014, the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping has gained legendary status. The 2025 edition boasts a stellar field of 61 CSI5* international riders and will offer a prize fund of €925,000. The courses will be crafted by renowned designer Gregory Bodo, ensuring technical brilliance and drama throughout the event. The Paris Panthers, the city’s Global Champions League team, will also be in action, adding a hometown edge to the contest.
What sets this event apart is its ability to fuse the excitement of world-class show jumping with the sophistication and charm of Paris. With the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop and a weekend packed with top-tier sport and entertainment, the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping is poised to deliver an unforgettable experience.
