Race day at Mysore Race Club reached its midway mark with a thrilling finish in The Queen of the Hills Plate Div I, the fourth race on the card. This 1200-meter handicap for horses rated 00 to 25, run at 3:30 PM, carried a total prize purse of Rs. 3,75,000 and delivered yet another photo-worthy finish in a day full of competitive action.
Natural Light, trained by Mansoor Khan and ridden by jockey Aman, emerged as the star of the race. Clocking 1:13.054, the duo showed a well-timed burst in the final furlong to edge past the field and secure victory in decisive fashion.
Not far behind was Sengol, who clocked 1:13.587 under the guidance of jockey Anil Baandal and trainer J S Pillay. Sengol remained in contention throughout, making a strong push but ultimately falling just short in the final meters.
Samarth, partnered by jockey S. Imran and trained by K Aditya, completed the top three. The pair finished in 1:13.792, staying competitive through the stretch to round off a closely contested race.
