A twelve-race programme was completed at Nakayama Racecourse on Sunday, 15 March, where runners across several divisions competed over sprint and middle-distance trips. The meeting formed part of the regular Japanese racing calendar and attracted competitive fields throughout the afternoon.

The card included a mixture of maiden races, handicaps, and stakes contests, allowing both emerging runners and established performers to feature on the programme. The meeting gradually built towards the graded highlight, the Fuji TV Sho Spring Stakes (G2), which served as the principal race of the afternoon.

Race 1 was won by BOUQUET DE LYS, who delivered a steady performance to finish in 1:11.7 under jockey Takeshi Yokoyama for trainer Keisuke Miyata, representing G1 Racing Co. Ltd. The following contest saw TAKERU MUSASHI secure victory in Race 2, completing the distance in 1:54.4 with Yasunari Iwata riding for trainer Makoto Saito and owner Yasuhiko Mori.

The next pair of races continued the competitive pattern of the card. Race 3 went to MOZU TANQUE, who recorded 1:12.8 with Yuji Tannai aboard for trainer Toru Kurita and owner Masaji Kitagawa. Race 4 was captured by STAR SAN SALUD, guided by Christophe Lemaire for trainer Tomohito Ozeki and owner Hiroo Race Co. Ltd., finishing the race in 1:55.5.

The middle stages of the meeting produced further notable performances from several stables. Race 5 saw DANON FUNSTAR claimed victory in 2:00.3, giving jockey Christophe Lemaire another success for trainer Hiroyasu Tanaka and owner Danox Co. Ltd. Shortly afterwards, BLADE SUCCESS won Race 6 in 1:53.5, ridden by Takeshi Yokoyama for trainer Takaki Iwato, representing owner Toyohiko Oshima.

Sprint action followed in Race 7, where HIGHER MARK delivered a sharp run to finish in 1:07.3 under Christophe Lemaire for trainer Takahisa Tezuka and owner G1 Racing Co. Ltd. The next event, Race 8, was won by IMPACT SEA, who completed the distance in 1:32.0 with Ryuto Yokoyama in the saddle for trainer Masahiro Otake and owner Akihiro Nakamura.

The staying contest Race 9 – Ami Tokubetsu was taken by LONG WAY HOME, who covered the distance in 2:35.0 under Kiwamu Ogino for trainer Shigenobu Isaka, representing Godolphin. The race formed one of the notable supporting events on the programme and produced a composed performance from the winner.

The following contest, Race 10 – Kochi Stakes (Listed), produced a strong effort from VALKYRIE BIRTH, who completed the race in 1:32.0 with Christophe Lemaire in the saddle. The winner was prepared by trainer Hiroyasu Tanaka and raced in the colours of Sunday Racing Co. Ltd., delivering a controlled performance to secure the listed event.

The feature event of the afternoon, Race 11 – Fuji TV Sho Spring Stakes (G2), was won by AUDACIA, ridden by Akihide Tsumura for trainer Takahisa Tezuka and owner Sunday Racing Co. Ltd. The colt covered the distance in 1:46.0, producing a measured run to capture the graded contest and emerge as the standout winner of the meeting.

The programme concluded with Race 12, where QUEEN’S POLARIS finished strongly to record 1:11.2 under Hironobu Tanabe. The winner was trained by Hiroyuki Uehara and represented Keiai Stallion Co. Ltd., bringing the twelve-race programme at Nakayama Racecourse to its conclusion.
