The 12th day of the Bangalore Summer Meeting 2025 got underway in promising fashion at the Bangalore Turf Club (BTC) on Sunday, June 22, with MYSTIC CHARM delivering a resounding performance in the opening contest of the day — The Guindy Plate, a 1200-meter handicap for horses rated 00 to 25.
Trained by M. Rajendra Singh and ridden with determination by Md. Akram, Mystic Charm surged ahead in the final furlong to edge past a competitive field and capture victory in a tightly contested finish. Owned by Mr. H. S. Chandre Gowda, the filly showed excellent timing of 1:13.59.
Running a close second was stablemate SLICE OF LUCK, ridden by A. R. Pradeep, giving the trainer, M Rajendra Singh a double win in just starting of the day by timing at 1:13.72. The runner-up was not disgraced in defeat, having prominently figured in the front-rank throughout the race before just giving way near the wire.
SATIN LASS, trained by S. Dominic and ridden by ace jockey P. Trevor, completed the frame by finishing a respectable third, with a finish time of 1:13.72.
The going for the day was officially declared as Good, with an average penetrometer reading of 3.3 cms recorded at 11:30 AM. The track remained fair and true, aided by partly cloudy weather with a hint of light rain on the horizon. The railing was placed in its original position.
With the first race concluded, attention now turns to the second contest — The Pronto Pronto Plate — as racing fans brace themselves for more thrilling finishes and potential upsets on what promises to be an exciting day at the BTC.
