Run over 1200 meters, this handicap for horses rated 40 to 65 featured a tightly matched field and carried a prize purse of ₹5,75,000. With three competitive races already concluded, The Kollegal Plate maintained the high tempo of the day and offered another engaging sprint on the turf.
Emerging as the standout performer was RAFFINATO, who showed both class and composure under jockey C. Umesh. Trained by Fahad Khan, the gelding settled into a smooth stride early and produced a timely turn of foot in the final furlong to secure a decisive victory and keep connections smiling by completing the race in 1:18.877.
Running a close second was TIME FOR VICTORY, partnered by A. Ayaz Khan and trained by K. Somashekar. The gelding kept within striking range throughout the trip and made a valiant bid in the straight, but ultimately had to concede the win, finishing with credit in a competitive effort by clocking at 1:19.887.
SPARKLING NIGHT, under jockey Brijesh Kumar V. and trained by Vinesh V. Naik rounded off the top three by clocking at 1:20.177. The mare ran on gamely in the closing stages and added further depth to the result with a strong performance.
