The Mysore Race Club Limited has announced the cancellation of the first day of the Mysore Summer Races 2025 due to adverse weather conditions. The races, originally scheduled for Wednesday, May 28, had already been postponed to Friday, May 30. However, persistent overnight rains have rendered the track conditions unsuitable for racing.
In an official notice issued by the club on Friday, the Stewards stated that the underfoot conditions of the race track were not conducive for racing, prompting the decision to cancel the season’s opening day altogether.
“Inconvenience caused is very much regretted,” the notice read, underscoring the club’s concern for safety and fair competition.
Further updates regarding the revised schedule for the remainder of the season are awaited from the Mysore Race Club.
According to sources the cancelled races might be postponed to 4th June , however official confirmation from club regarding this is yet to be received.
