Cosette Opens Final Day of Mysore Summer Races 2025 in Style
As the Mysore Summer Races 2025 reached their grand finale on August 6, all eyes turned to the storied turf of the Mysore Race Club, where the 11th and final day began with The Aristocrat Plate, a spirited 1200-meter dash reserved for maiden three-year-old Indian horses.
Under the warm morning light and amid rising anticipation, it was Cosette who emerged from the pack to seize the moment. Piloted with poise by S. Imran and conditioned by trainer Saddam Iqbal, the filly delivered a composed and authoritative run to clock 1:12.482, clinching her first career win and giving her connections a memorable start to the day.
Cosette, owned by Dr. Suresh Bhat, showed early speed and stayed comfortably ahead, holding off the late bid of Shaylah, who took second place. Ridden by Anil Baandal for trainer Pillay J. S., Shaylah clocked 1:13.910, staying on well without threatening the winner. Completing the top three was Natural Look, trained by Mansoor Khan and partnered by Ankit Pal, crossing the line in 1:14.237.
With the first result in the books, attention swiftly pivots to the next race of the day, The Manasasarovara Plate. As the final afternoon of the Mysore Summer Races 2025 unfolds, RaceBuzz will continue to bring you immersive coverage of every twist and turn.
