The Mysore Race Club witnessed an engaging afternoon of racing on Wednesday, 1 July 2026, as the Mysore Summer Races 2026 continued with its sixth day featuring a competitive seven-race card. From the opening event at 2:00 PM to the concluding race at 5:00 PM, the programme produced several impressive performances, with EFFICACY emerging as the standout performer by capturing the prestigious The Stewards Trophy.
The Mysore races results 1 July reflected a day filled with determined finishes, strong riding performances, and exciting contests across sprint and middle-distance categories. The day began with The Republican Plate Div II, a Class V event for horses rated 00 to 25 over 1200 metres. PETTE’S CHOICE produced a smart performance under jockey Vishal, crossing the finish line in 1:12.955. Trained by Vishal Yadav and owned by Mr Akhil Raghav M P, the winner held off V CAVIAR, who finished second with Mohd Talib in the saddle for trainer Feroz M Khan in 1:13.459. ARMAMENT, ridden by Abhishek Mhatre and trained by Ranjeet Shinde, secured third place with a timing of 1:13.516.
The second race, The Kodlipet Plate, brought a 1400-metre Class IV contest for horses rated 20 to 45. IRON KING displayed good finishing ability to claim victory in 1:25.257 under jockey A. Ashhad Asbar. Prepared by trainer H. Zulquarnain and owned by Mr Ujash Mahendra Patel, the winner completed the race ahead of WALTER, who finished second in 1:25.467 with Antony Raj S. riding for trainer Vinesh V Naik. NATURAL ONE, guided by Ankit Pal and trained by Mansoor Khan, was third in 1:25.927.
The Republican Plate Div I followed at 3:00 PM, again over 1200 metres for Class V horses. LORDS GRACE delivered a convincing run to take the race in 1:12.443. Jockey R Vaibhav partnered the winner for trainer Gnanashekar A, with Mr M S Manjunath as owner. HASTING SUNRISE finished runner-up with Anish Anamo Hangal riding for trainer Surender G T in 1:12.730, while I LIKE TOO HOO HAA secured third place under A. Ashhad Asbar for trainer Arvind V in 1:13.052.
The Renowned Plate Div II at 3:30 PM saw another competitive 1200-metre Class III battle for horses rated 40 to 65. SAPPHIRE came through strongly to win in 1:11.693 with Ankit Pal aboard. Trained by Mansoor Khan and owned by Mr S Shaizada Khan, the winner finished ahead of FALCON FURY, ridden by Abhishek Mhatre and trained by Ranjeet Shinde, who clocked 1:11.840. MANDOLIN completed the top three with Lave Kumar riding for trainer Helleal Moses R in 1:12.412.
The highlight of the afternoon came with The Stewards Trophy, the main feature race of the Mysore Summer Races 2026 Day 6. The 1400-metre Class I event for horses rated 80 and above produced a high-quality finish as EFFICACY delivered a powerful winning performance. Ridden by Shreyas Singh and trained by S S Attaollahi, EFFICACY crossed the post in 1:22.687 for owners Ms Daulat Chhabria, Maloji Baburao Bhosale & A G Bloodstock LLP. The winner showed excellent pace and control throughout the contest, making the feature race result the biggest talking point of the day. RISE AGAIN gave a strong challenge to finish second with Antony Raj S. riding for trainer Fahad Khan in 1:23.188. GOLD KITE, partnered by B. Darshan Anthony and trained by K Aditya, secured third place in 1:23.909.
The sixth race, The Hiriyur Plate, tested the field over 1600 metres in a Class IV event. ISABELLE stayed strong through the longer trip to register victory in 1:40.211. Jockey Anish Anamo Hangal guided the winner for trainer Vinesh V Naik, with Mr P T Girish as owner. SADA, ridden by Anil Baandal for trainer Pillay J S, finished second in 1:40.576, while STAR OF LIGHT claimed third place with Sah Farid Ansari riding for trainer J Sebastian in 1:40.698.
The final race of the day, The Renowned Plate Div I, closed the card with another 1200-metre Class III contest. SILVER QUEST produced the winning moment in 1:11.622 under jockey Vinod Shinde. Trained by K S Mandanna and owned by Ms M Raghunath & HS Chandre Gowda, SILVER QUEST finished ahead of ASIO, ridden by Abhishek Mhatre and trained by P Krishna. MARK ONE, guided by Bharat Mal and trained by Bobby M, completed the top three.
